Fantastic County Championships success for Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club athletes

Across the County Championships on the weekend of 10th/11th May, a huge number of our athletes enjoyed success.

Some of the stand out performances were Championship records being set by Grace Sikora in the under 17 300m (Berkshire), Leila Zamani in the under 17 long jump (Berkshire) – breaking the record which has stood since 1981! – and Joshua Mingoia (Berkshire) in the under 20 2000m steeplechase.

Grace is also County Champion in all three sprints, 100m, 200m and 300m!

There were also athletes who won multiple medals – Max Zhang (u13), Elysia Chilvers (u15) and Ava John (u20).

And many others were double medalists – Sophia Powers (u13), Ted Bainbridge, Arthur Evans, Barney Hilliar (u13), Emily Bradshaw (u15), Zoe Allan (u15), Tara Ferguson (u15), George Hilliar (u15), William Hapgood (u15), Leon Francis (u17), Aashni Manek (u20), Natalia Wloczewska (u20), Jacqueline Heller (u20), Madisyn Woodley (u20), Mia Woodley (u20), Demari Gumbs (u20), Natalie Thompson (senior) and Joshua Gonsalves (senior)

Overall, Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow AC athletes gained 81 PBs, 8 bronze medals, 17 silver medals and 38 gold medals!

In middle distance in particular, Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow AC athletes had a haul of:

  • 47 PBs out of 82 races
  • 14 county champions.
  • 37 medallists.
