Indoor Championships success for Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club athletes
Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club athletes have enjoyed success at both the 2024 Microplus UK Athletics Indoor Championships and the England Athletics age group Indoor Championships.
England Athletics age group Indoor Championships, Sheffield, 10th-11th February
Many WSEH athletes competed, with success highlights being William Hapgood winning the under 15 boys 800m, setting new PBs in both the heats and the final, Mia Woodley PB and 6th place in u20 triple jump in what was her first ever national championships, Lilianne Jervis-Allen PB and silver medal in under 17 pole vault, Alexander Eldridge PB in under 17 60m hurdles and Anouska Wedrychowski and Jasmine Hatch both PB in under 20 60m hurdles.
William’s 2.01 has taken him to the top of the UK rankings for his age group so far in 2024 and Lilianne’s 3.50m sees her 2nd in the UK rankings for her age group so far in 2024.
UK Athletics Indoor Championships, Birmingham, 17th-18th February
Many WSEH athletes competed here as well. Notable successes for Amy Warre winning bronze in the triple jump, jumping a new PB of 12.88m, Isaac Osei-Tutu winning bronze in the 400m, Jessie Knight winning bronze in the 400m, Morgan Lake winning gold in the high jump, Tade Ojora winning gold in the 60m hurdles.
In the UK rankings so far in 2024, Amy’s PB puts her at 4th, Isaac is 12th and Jessie is 5th on the men’s and women’s 400m rankings respectively, Morgan is at the top of the rankings for high jump and Tade is at the top of the rankings for 60m hurdles.
