PBs galore at WSEH AC Middle Distance Meeting Eton, Sunday 13th September

On a gloriously sunny day in Eton, over 100 athletes ranging in age from U13 to senior took part in the WSEH AC Middle Distance meeting which included 800m, 1500m, 3000m and 1500m steeplechase races.

During the meeting, 51 PBs were achieved and 12 athletes (Alex Barbour, U23W 3000m 9.47.2, Luke Birdseye U17M 1500m Steeplechase 4.46.4, Nathalie Camp U17W 1500m Steeplechase 5.21.5, Rachel Clutterbuck, U15W 3000m 10.14.0, Madison Foxcroft U20W 1500m Steeplechase 6.06.0, Jess Hatch U17W 1500m Steeplechase 5.21.5, Maya Hodgson U20W 1500m Steeplechase 5.29.8, Luke Hynes U17M 1500m Steeplechase 4.58.6, Sam Johnston U15B 3000m 9.55.7, Jake Meyburgh U13M 1500m 4.48.5, Jasmine Young U17 3000m 10.04.5, Zavier Zinman U13M 1500m 4.51.7) recorded times that rank them in the current top 10 in the 2020 UK rankings. 

A special mention should go to Rachel Clutterbuck who now holds the number 1 spot in the U15 girls 3,000m, 8 seconds ahead of the next ranked athlete.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this was the first track race that many of the athletes had been able to do in 2020 (and the first race ever for some of the U13 and U15 runners).
