More Open Meeting PBs by WSEH AC Middle Distance Athletes
A number of WSEH AC middle distance athletes (including U15, U17 and U20s) coached mainly by either Trevor Raggett or Shireen Higgins) took part in the British Milers Club Gold Standard races at Lee Valley Stadium on 29th August 2020.
Ed Henderson was the lone WSEH athlete in the U17 800m, clocking 1.59.82.
There was a bigger representation in the 1500m races. Dylan Spencer led the way in the U20 age group with his clocking of 3.59.7 accompanied by Will Barnicoat who also broke 4 minutes with 3:59.77. Amongst the U17’s Alfie Spear had a good run to record 4.11.78 whilst Raphael Rivero-Stevenet took over 9 seconds from his pb with 4.17.10. Luke Birdseye was very close to the pb he set at the BMC races in Manchester with 4.17.12.
Senior Blake Moore was the only WSEH athlete to toe the line in the 3000m – clocking a pb of 8.21.03.
Amy and Jasmine Young were in action in the U20 and U17 races respectively with Amy recording 4.45.66 and Jasmine 4.48.45. Jessica Hatch was timed at 5.04.38.
On Friday 28th August, U15 George Thomas clocked a big pb of 2:15 for 800m of at the Nuneaton night of 800m pb.
On Sunday September 13th WSEH AC is staging its own club middle distance meeting with 800m, 1500m and 3000m and steeplechase races at the Thames Valley Athletics Centre, commencing at 11.00 am.
