The SEAA cross country relays are one of our favourite events of the relay season because they give everyone (apart from our U11 age group) a chance to race in a team event over a fairly flat, spectator friendly course. All races up to senior had 3 runners per team.

One of our best results of the day came in the U15 Girls race where the team of Kara Gorman, Hannah Lucas and Zoe Allan won by nearly a minute from Guildford & Godalming AC. Kara’s time of 06:49 and Zoe’s time of 06:53 were the 2nd and 3rd fastest of the day in their age group with only 3 runners breaking the 7 minute barrier.

U15 Girls winning team Zoe Allan, Hannah Lucas and Kara Gorman

We don’t usually mention the road races that athletes complete in as individuals in our reports but three of our coaches – Sharon Clutterbuck, Marina Stedman and Claire Welch competed in the Brighton 10K on Sunday 16th November. The race also served as a qualifier for England Masters selections with top 3 in each Masters category eligible to be selected to represent England Masters in the Bideford 10K in May 2026. With Marina finishing 2nd V65 in a time of 45:48 her 1st England vest for 30 years was secured. Claire ran an excellent time of 42:14 which was a 10 second pb and Sharon also ran a PB by over X seconds to record 48:30.

In addition, U17 Euan Totays ran his 1st ever 10K in an excellent time of 38:47.
