Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club – up and coming talent – 2024 under 20s

The 2023/2025 summer season has been a great one for our senior elite athletes – see here.
With a focus on athlete development within our juniors seeing a lot of talent coming through, the future is bright for the club and we look forward to developing even more talent next season.
The start point for most young athletes is the club’s academy – see here – developing early potential and talent. In competition this season, in the Alder Valley League, academy athletes enjoyed 40 third places, 50 second places and over 30 first places and secured over 100 PBs!
We have specialist event training for young athletes with potential & talent and the club provides experienced, qualified coaches in all events – for running see here – for jumping see here – for throwing see here – and we are seeing a lot of talent coming through.

Under 20s:
Anna Babis (400m)
Anna started athletics as an under 13 and joined Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club in 2019 as an under 15, initially focusing on sprints and long jump. From 2020 to 2023, under the coaching of Lesley and Nick Pearson, she focused on sprints, regularly competing for the club successfully. She also competed at the Berkshire County Championships, the Berkshire County Schools Championships and the ISA National Championships, winning two bronze, four silver and four gold medals. She also competed at the English Schools National Championships, South of England Championships, England Athletics under 15 & under 17 National Championships. This year, as a second year under 20, under the coaching of Simon Duberley, she has again competed for the club in all sprints, including winning twice in 400m. She has won 400m silver at the Berkshire County Championships and competed in the 400m at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships. We look forward to seeing her continue to develop next season when she makes the transition into seniors.
Ben Dewar (400m, 800m, 400m hurdles)
Ben joined Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club in 2017 as an under 11. As he progressed through the under 13s and under 15s, he focused mostly on middle distance on the track and cross country. After moving to Neil Dodson’s coaching in 2023 as a second year under 17 he took up 400m hurdles, competing for both the club and at the Berkshire County Schools Championships, where he improved his PB and qualified for the English Schools National Championships, where he further improved his PB and qualified for the final. This year, he focused on 400m, 800m and 400m hurdles, regularly competing for the club at all levels, including the National League, winning twice and supporting the teams by doing additional events. He also competed at the Berkshire County Championships in May, winning silver in the 400m, bronze in the 400m hurdles and gold in the javelin! He also won gold in the 400m at the Hampshire County Schools Championships in June and improved his 400m and 800m PBs. Ranked top 40 in the U.K. for 400m hurdles, we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his potential next season as a second year under 20.
Kevone Gallimore (sprints)
Kevone has been a member since 2021. As a 1st year under 17, in his first season, he was ranked #1 in the club for 100m and 200m. He did the same again in 2022 and after taking up 400m as well, finished the season ranked #2 in the club. During this time he competed regularly for the club, winning on many occasions. In 2022, he also won 200m silver and 400m gold at the Berkshire County Championships. He also won 400m gold at the Berkshire County Schools Championships, where he improved his PB and qualified for the English Schools National Championships, where he improved his Pb further when winning his heat, then improved it again in the final as he won silver. He was then selected to represent England for the first time, at the SIAB international, where he won gold in the 4x400m relay. He finished the season competing at the England Athletics under 17 National Championships, winning his heat and qualifying for the final and competed at the School Games in Loughborough. Last year, as a first year under 20, he regularly competed for the club at all levels, including the National League, plus won 400m silver at the Berkshire County Championships and won 400m gold at the Berkshire County Schools Championships. This year as a second year under 20, he has again competed for the club, won three times and improved his 200m PB. Coached by Earl Herbert, we look forward to seeing him continue to develop next season when he makes the transition into seniors.
Teddy Gannon (discus)
Teddy joined from Woking AC in 2021 as an under 17, after finishing as the #1 ranked under 15 in the U.K. He is currently ranked #1 in the U.K. for under 20s and represented GB at the Loughborough International in May. For his story please see here (as at October 2024).
Demari Gumbs (400m)
Demari joined Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club in 2018 as an under 13. As he progressed through the under 13s, under 15s and under 17s, he trained and competed across all events. In 2023, as a first year under 20, coached by Neil Dodson, he focused more on 400m and 400m hurdles, In the 400m he won gold at the Berkshire County Championships, he won and improved his PB competing in a prestigious event in Loughborough in July, then in August he was selected to represent England for the first time, at an international in Wales, where he also won and improved his PB again. In the 400m hurdles he competed at the South of England Championships in early June, he won bronze at the English School National Championships in late June and improved his PB twice when competing for the club in the National League, finishing third each time against seniors. He also competed at the Loughborough International and the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships, winning silver on both occasions. This year, now coached by Linford Christie and Margaret Adeoye, he focused on just the 400m. He was invited to compete at the UK Athletics Indoor Championships in February, he won gold at the Berkshire County Championships in May, was selected to represent GB for the first time, at the Loughborough International a week later, where he raced in the 4×400 relay. He won silver at the English Schools National Championships in July and won bronze at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships a week later. In June he was selected to represent GB again at the Bauhaus Junior Gala in Mannheim, Germany, winning in the individual 400m and in the 4x400m, where the team not only won, they set a new U20 world record! To end the season, he represented England at the under 20 home countries international, as part of the winning 4×400 team. Ranked #5 in the U.K. for 400m, we look forward to seeing him continue to develop next season when he makes the transition into seniors.
Clemmie Harris (hammer)
Clemmie is ranked #10 in the U.K. For her story please see here (as at August 2022). Last season she regularly competing for the club winning four times, won gold at the Berkshire County Championships in May, gold at the Berkshire County Schools Championships in June, gold at the South of England Championships in August and competed at both the English School National Championships and the England Athletics under 17 National Championships, before finishing the season representing Berkshire at the Inter-Counties Championships in September, where she improved her PB to 51.70m. This season as an under 20 and moving up to throwing the 4kg hammer, she regularly competing for the club at all levels, including the National League, winning twice, again won gold at the Berkshire County Championships in May, again won gold at the Berkshire County Schools Championships in June, won bronze at the South of England Championships in August and again competed at the English School National Championships and competed at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships, where she improved her 4kg PB to 44.36m. We look forward to seeing her continue to develop her potential next season as a second year under 20.
Jasmine Hatch (100m hurdles, 400m hurdles)
Jasmine joined from Bracknell in 2022 as a second year under 17 and accomplished athlete. That year she competed for the club, winning three times and won 80m hurdles silver and 300m hurdles gold at the Berkshire County Championships in May and 300m hurdles gold at the Berkshire County Schools Championships in June. She also improved her PBs in both events and finished the season competed in both events at the South of England Championships in August. In 2023, as a first year under 20, which meant moving up to 100m and 400m hurdles, she continued to compete for the club, including winning five times. She also won bronze in both events at the Berkshire County Championships and won 100m hurdles gold and 400m hurdles silver at the Hampshire County Schools Championships. Last year, as a second year under 20, she competed for the club at all levels, including the National League, winning four times. She improved her PBs in both events, won 400m hurdles gold at the Hampshire County Schools Championships and also competed at the South of England Championships. Coached by Neil Dodson and ranked top 40 in the U.K., we look forward to seeing her continue to develop next season when she makes the transition into seniors.

Ava John (heptathlon)
Ava is ranked #2 in the U.K. for Pentathlon. For her story please see here (as at October 2024).
Marcis Lazdins (discus, shot put and hammer)
Marcis joined Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club in 2023 and as an under 17 he regularly competed for the club during the season. In junior leagues he threw all the throws implements, improved his PBs, finished second six times and won nine times. In the senior league, where the weights of the implements were heavier, he competed well and improved his PB on all of them. Last season, as a first year under 20, he regularly competed for the club at all levels, including for the first time in the National League, finishing second five times and winning five times. Coached by Jake Norris for discus and Paul Dickenson for hammer, he improved his PBs with the heavier under 20 junior weights for discus and hammer, improved his shot put PB and improved his PBs with the senior weights in shot put, discus and hammer. Ranked highly in the U.K. across all these events, we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his potential next season as a second year under 20.
Hannah Lewington (javelin)
Hannah started athletics as an under 11 and progressed through the age groups, she settled on javelin as her event as a second year under 15. This year, as a second year under 20 and as a regular championship winning athlete, she joined Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club from Swindon AC. Now coached by Tom Dobbing, in May she again won gold at the Wiltshire County Championships in May, plus competed in Halle, Germany on the World Athletics Continental Tour, throwing a new PB of 45.77m. In June she won gold at the South-West Schools Championships and then competed at the UK Athletics National Championships, where she threw her second longest throw ever. In July she won silver at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships and won bronze at the English School National Championships. Ranked #4 in the U.K., we look forward to seeing her continue to develop next season as a third year under 20.
Erin Rees (Pole Vault)
Erin joined from Maidenhead AC in 2019 and was an accomplished athlete across events as she progressed through to being an under 20 in 2023, where she focused on pole vault as her event, competing for the club at all levels, including the National League and competing at the Buckinghamshire County Championships and the Buckinghamshire County Schools Championships, where she won silver and subsequently competed at the English School National Championships. This year, she again competed for the club, won silver at the Buckinghamshire County Championships and silver at the South of England Championships. Ranked #9 in the U.K., we look forward to seeing her continue to develop next season when she makes the transition into seniors.
Nathan Rollins (400m, 400m hurdles)
Nathan joined from Bracknell in 2019 as an under 13. As he progressed through the under 13s and under 15s, he focused mostly on middle distance on the track and cross country. After moving to Neil Dodson’s coaching in 2023 as a second year under 17 he took up 400m hurdles, competing for both the club and at the Berkshire County Schools Championships, where he improved his PB and qualified for the English Schools National Championships. He also won silver at the Berkshire County Championships and competed at the South of England Championships and the England Athletics under 17 National Championships. Also now focusing on the 400m instead of middle distance, he competed regularly for the club, improved his PB and won bronze at the Berkshire County Championships. This year, as a first year under 20, he again competed regularly for the club, with seven top 3 finishes/wins and improved his PBs in both events. In the 400m he won bronze at the Berkshire County Championships and in the 400m hurdles he won gold at the Berkshire County Schools Championships in June, subsequently competed at the English Schools National Championships in July and then at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships a week later. Ranked top 30 in the U.K. for 400m hurdles, we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his potential next season as a second year under 20.
Seb Simpson (hammer and discus)
Seb started competitive athletics as an under 13 and was an accomplished athlete across the throws events as he progressed through to being a second year under 17 in 2023, when he started to be coached by Paul Dickenson for hammer at Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club. Highlights of that season were winning silver at the English Schools National Championships and representing England for the first time at the SIAB international a week later, winning bronze. He fully joined from Team Kennet this year and coached by Paul Dickenson for hammer and Jake Norris for discus, he competed for the club at all levels, including the National League, winning four times and improving his discus PB to 31.89m. He won discus and hammer silver at the Berkshire County Championships, won hammer silver at the Berkshire County Schools Championships and subsequently competed at the English Schools National Championships. He also competed in hammer at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships in July and at the Bedford International Games, where he improved his PB to 56.12m. Ranked #8 in the U.K., we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his potential next season as a second year under 20.
Toby Splain (Pole Vault)
Toby started athletics as an under 13 and joined from Reading AC in 2023 as a first year under 20 and accomplished pole vaulter to be coached by Nick Phipps. Ranked top 20 in the U.K., we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his potential next season when he makes the transition into seniors.
Jamie Haydock-Wilson (sprints)
After starting athletics at Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club as an under 11 and an under 13, Jamie returned to athletics an under 20 in 2023, competing for the club in sprints and long jump. This year he has again competed for the club at all levels, including for the first time in the National League. Coached by Earl Herbert, he has improved his PBs in all sprint distances to be ranked #2 in the club for 100m, #3 for 200m and #5 for 400m. He also has potential for long jump and triple jump and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his potential next season when he makes the transition into seniors.
Natalia Wloczewski (100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, high jump)
Natalia has been a member since 2021. Coached by Val Stenning for the first two years when she was an under 17, she and improved her high jump PB as she competed for the club. In 2023, she started hurdles alongside high jump and coached by Neil Dodson, she improved her 100m hurdles PB from 19.66 to 17.2 and experienced her first ever 400m hurdles race, which she won! She won a total of 4 times for the club across high jump and hurdles and won high jump bronze at the Surrey County Championships. This year she has continued to work with Val Stenning for high jump and Neil Dodson for hurdles, gaining two second places and one win for the club in high jump and six hurdles wins for the club. In 100m hurdles she won gold at the Berkshire County Championships and in 400m hurdles she also won gold at the Berkshire County Championships and competed at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships, where she improved her PB to 64.37 having started the season with a 69.07. Ranked in the top 75 in the U.K. for 100m hurdles and just outside the top 20 in the U.K. for 400m hurdles, we look forward to seeing her continue to develop her potential next season when she makes the transition into seniors.
Madisyn Woodley (high jump and long jump)
Madisyn started athletics in 2017 as an under 13 and joined Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club from Slough Junior in 2023 as an accomplished athlete after becoming an under 20. Coached in sprints by Earl Herbert and high jump by Val Stenning, in 2023 she competed for the club at all levels, including the National League, improved her PBs and won high jump silver at the Berkshire County Championships. This year, focusing just on high jump with Val Stenning as her coach and long jump with Danny Sawyers as her coach, after improving her indoor high jump PB to 1.65m in February, she competed regularly for the club at all levels, including the National League again, improved her outdoor high jump PB to 1.60m and her long jump PB to 5.48m. She also won high jump and long jump gold at the Berkshire County Championships, competed in high jump at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships, won long jump gold Berkshire County Schools Championships and subsequently competed at the English Schools National Championships, where she secured a wind assisted new PB of 5.67m. Ranked #15 in the U.K. for high jump and #30 in the U.K. for long jump, we look forward to seeing her continue to develop her potential next season when she makes the transition into seniors.
Mia Woodley (long jump and triple jump)
Mia started athletics in 2017 as an under 11 and joined Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club from Slough Junior in 2023 as an accomplished athlete and a second year under 17. Coached in sprints by Earl Herbert and long jump & triple jump by Danny Sawyers, in 2023 she competed for the club at all levels, including the National League, improved her PBs and won long jump gold at the Berkshire County Championships. This year, focusing on long jump and triple jump with Danny, she competed regularly for the club at all levels, including the National League again. In long jump she won twice, improved her PB to 5.28m and also won silver at the Berkshire County Championships. In triple jump, she won four times, improved her PB to 11.65m, won gold at the Berkshire County Championships and bronze at the English Schools National Championships, plus competed at the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships, where she secured a wind assisted new PB of 11.68m. ranked highly in the U.K. for long jump and #7 in the U.K. for triple jump, we look forward to seeing her continue to develop her potential next season as a second year under 20.
Anouska Wedrychowski (100m hurdles, 400m hurdles)
Anouska started athletics as an under 11 and joined Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club from Slough Junior in 2020 as an under 15 and an accomplished athlete. Coached since then by Neil Dodson for hurdles, in 2021, as a second year under 15, she won 6 out of her 8 races over 75m hurdles, including winning for the club and winning both the Buckinghamshire County Championships and the Buckinghamshire County Schools Championships. In 2022, as an under 17 and now racing over the 80m hurdles, she again won the Buckinghamshire County Championships and finished the season with her fastest time of the season and therefore a new PB. She also raced over 300m hurdles for the first time, winning all three races she competed in for the club, won silver at the Buckinghamshire County Championships and competed at the English Schools National Championships. She finished the season competing at the South of England Championships, setting a new PB when qualifying for the final and then setting another a new PB in the final the next day. In 2023, as a second year under 17, she continued to develop her 80m hurdles, setting new PBs and sampled 100m hurdles in two senior races, finishing second in one and winning the other! In the 300m hurdles she improved her PB and won 5 out of her 7 races, all three for the club, the Buckinghamshire County Championships and the Buckinghamshire County Schools Championships, subsequently competing at the English Schools National Championships. This year, as a first year under 20 and fully racing over 100m hurdles and now racing over 400m hurdles she competed for the club at all levels, including the National League and the England Athletics under 20 & senior National Championships. She uses winter indoor championships as part of her development and ranked top 50 in the U.K. for 100m hurdles and top 25 in the U.K. for 400m hurdles, we look forward to seeing her continue to develop her potential next season as a second year under 20.
