Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club are one of the UK’s premier athletic clubs. At senior level, the club is one of the top 8 clubs in the country who compete in the Premiership division of the National Athletics League.
We are also a welcoming community athletics club. The club acknowledges that it has a key role to play in ensuring that athletics is accessible. We have a thriving and increasing membership which also makes us one of the largest clubs in the country and we provide coaching and training geared towards competition across all events and all ages from age 10 upwards. We also have Trackstart Juniors for children from the age of 7.
For seniors, we have specialist groups for sprints, middle distance, long distance, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, javelin, shot/discus and hammer.
For juniors, we have specialist training groups for athletes for sprints, middle distance, long distance and steeplechase, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, javelin, shot/discus and hammer. These are for athletes with experience/high ability/potential in particular events or event groups (e.g. sprints, middle distance, jumps, or throws). We also have The Academy, for young and beginner athletes, training them across all aspects of athletics, running (sprints, hurdles and some middle distance), jumps (long jump and high jump) and throws (javelin, discus, shot), progressing them onto any specialist training groups when they are ready.
We are based at the Thames Valley Athletic Centre in Eton, one of the best facilities in England, where club members have access to a high quality 8 lane all-weather track, excellent field event facilities and a quality indoor facility, fully refurbished in 2023, with a 5 lane 60m sprint straight and provision for long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus and pole vault, plus a weights room. See the training page for more details.
We are committed to providing an environment that is welcoming to all, is a fun, positive environment for athletes, volunteers & parents and we support the physical, emotional and social development of all our members. This is driven by the chairman Nick Pearson, who you can read about here.
We are a friendly and competitive club, who compete in competitions throughout the whole year. In spring/summer this is mainly track & field and in autumn/winter this includes road running, cross country and indoor track & field. See the competitions page for more details.
New members are always welcome. If you would like to register your interest in joining, or if you have a child who would like to come along for a trial, please complete the membership enquiries form and someone from the club will contact you to arrange.

I cannot speak highly enough of this athletics club, he has grown in confidence over the last 6 months and has fallen in love with athletics again. This is all down to the superb coaching and fantastic atmosphere at the club”

He is having a great time. He was ill last week and was desperate to return. I am really pleased with the coaching he is getting. He gets along with his team mates and is really encouraged to do his best in the environment

I was so impressed, from the very first moment when you welcomed us we felt in very good hands, then the warm up and the training, it looked really good. The discipline and professionalism, was incredible, all the athletes behaved so greatly and to see so many with such great skills. My son was really happy and he mentioned how some of the athletes were so sociable with him and let him feel welcome. I am also pleased to see that my son will be surrounded by athletes with such great skills and capabilities so he can set his mind to learn the techniques and improve

We are a competitive athletic club, (across track & field, road running and cross country). Our expectations for being a member are:
- 1. Athletes to train regularly, which will mean twice a week at club training nights (Tuesday & Thursday evenings, from 6pm). Some of the specialist training groups have additional sessions on other days, which athletes will be expected to attend as well.
- 2. Athletes to compete for the club. Matches are on Saturdays or Sundays, from 11am.
With regard to competing, we expect all our athletes to compete and view athletic competitions as a priority for our athletes to both enjoy competing for the club in team-based events and to be a key part of their own development, especially for juniors.
